Apple Bread Recipe

Ingredients
  

  • 180g 1 ½ cups All-purpose flour
  • 5g 1 tsp Baking soda
  • ½ tsp Salt
  • 2g 1 tsp Ground cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp Nutmeg (optional)
  • large 2 Eggs
  • 100g ½ cup Granulated sugar
  • 100g ½ cup Brown sugar
  • 120ml ½ cup Vegetable oil/melted butter
  • 60ml ¼ cup Milk
  • 5ml 1 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 150g 1 ½ cups Finely chopped apples (peeled)
  • 50g ½ cup Chopped walnuts (optional)

Method
 

  1. Prep: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan.
  2. Dry Mix: In a bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  3. Wet Mix: In another bowl, beat eggs, sugars, oil, milk, and vanilla until smooth.
  4. Combine: Fold dry ingredients into wet mix until just combined. Avoid overmixing.
  5. Add Apples: Gently stir in chopped apples and walnuts (if using).
  6. Bake: Pour batter into the loaf pan. Bake 50–60 mins or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Cool: Let it rest in the pan for 10 mins, then transfer to a wire rack.

Notes

  • Storage: Keep wrapped at room temperature for 3 days or refrigerate for up to 1 week.
  • Substitutes: Use whole wheat flour for 50% of AP flour, or replace walnuts with pecans.
  • Tip: For extra moisture, add ¼ cup applesauce to the batter.
