Ingredients
  

  • 120 ml ½ cup Extra virgin olive oil (high quality)
  • 5 ml 1 tsp Balsamic vinegar (optional)
  • 2 g 1 tsp Dried oregano
  • 2 g 1 tsp Dried basil
  • 1 g ½ tsp Crushed red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
  • 1.5 g ½ tsp Garlic powder (or 1 fresh minced garlic clove)
  • 3 g ½ tsp Sea salt
  • 1 g ¼ tsp Black pepper (freshly ground)
  • 3 g 1 tbsp Fresh parsley (chopped, for garnish)

Method
 

  1. Combine Ingredients: In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil and balsamic vinegar (if using).
  2. Add Herbs & Spices: Stir in oregano, basil, red pepper flakes, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Rest: Let the mixture sit for at least 10 minutes to allow flavors to meld (or up to 1 hour for stronger taste).
  4. Garnish & Serve: Sprinkle with fresh parsley. Serve with warm crusty bread for dipping.

Notes

  • Storage: Store leftover oil in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Bring to room temperature before serving.
  • Variations: Add grated Parmesan, lemon zest, or rosemary for extra flavor.
  • Fresh Herbs: Substitute dried herbs with 1 tbsp each of fresh basil/oregano if preferred.
