Method
- In a small bowl, mix warm water, yeast, and sugar. Let it sit for 5–10 minutes until frothy.
- In a large bowl, combine flour and salt.
- Pour in the yeast mixture and olive oil, then mix until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5 minutes until smooth.
- Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour (or skip if using quick method).
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll out the dough into a rectangle (½-inch thick).
- Cut into 12–14 strips and twist each strip gently.
- Place on the baking sheet, leaving space between each.
- Brush with melted butter and sprinkle garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and Parmesan cheese.
- Bake for 12–15 minutes until golden brown.
- Remove from oven and brush with more butter if desired.
