In a bowl, mix flour, cornmeal, salt, sugar, and yeast.
Add warm water, melted butter, and olive oil. Knead for 5–7 minutes until smooth (use a stand mixer or hands).
Cover and let rise for 1–2 hours until doubled.
Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
Roll out the dough into a 12-inch circle. Press it into a greased deep-dish pan, covering the bottom and sides.
Layer cheeses first: mozzarella then Parmesan.
Add cooked sausage (or veggies).
Simmer crushed tomatoes, garlic, oregano, basil, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper for 10 minutes.
Spread sauce evenly over the fillings.
Bake for 35–40 minutes until crust is golden and sauce bubbles.
Cool for 10 minutes before slicing.
