Cloud Bread Recipe

Light, fluffy, and low-carb, Cloud Bread is a gluten-free alternative to traditional bread. Made with just a few simple ingredients, it’s perfect for sandwiches, toast, or as a snack!

Ingredients
  

  • large 3 Eggs Separated (whites & yolks)
  • 3 tbsp Cream cheese Softened
  • 1/4 tsp Cream of tartar (Or substitute: 1 tsp lemon juice)
  • 1/8 tsp Salt Optional
  • 1 tsp Honey (or sweetener) Optional, for slight sweetness

Equipment

  • Mixing bowls
  • Electric mixer (hand or stand)
  • Baking sheet
  • Parchment paper

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a clean bowl, beat egg whites and cream of tartar until stiff peaks form (about 3-5 mins).
  3. In another bowl, mix egg yolkscream cheesesalt, and sweetener (if using) until smooth.
  4. Gently fold the yolk mixture into the whipped egg whites until just combined (do not overmix).
  5. Spoon the mixture into 6 even rounds (~1/2 inch thick) on the baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 18-20 minutes until golden.
  7. Let cool for 5 mins before removing. They will firm up as they cool.

Notes

  • Storage: Keep in an airtight container for up to 3 days or freeze for longer shelf life.
  • Variations: Add garlic powder, herbs, or cinnamon for flavor.
  • Texture Tip: Cloud bread is soft when fresh but can become chewy if overbaked.
