Flat Bread Recipe

Soft, fluffy, and incredibly easy to make, this homemade flatbread requires just a few simple ingredients. Perfect for wraps, dipping, or as a side to your favorite dishes!

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tbsp Olive oil
  • 3/4 cup Warm water
  • 1 tsp Baking powder (optional for extra fluffiness)

Method
 

  1. Mix Dry Ingredients: In a bowl, combine flour, salt, and baking powder (if using).
  2. Add Wet Ingredients: Make a well in the center, pour in olive oil and warm water. Mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead Dough: Turn onto a floured surface and knead for 3-5 minutes until smooth.
  4. Rest Dough: Cover with a damp cloth and let rest for 10 minutes.
  5. Divide & Roll: Divide dough into 4 equal balls. Roll each into a thin circle (~1/8 inch thick).
  6. Cook Flatbread: Heat a skillet over medium heat. Cook each flatbread for 1-2 minutes per side, until puffed and golden.
  7. Serve Warm: Brush with butter or olive oil if desired.

  • Storage: Keep in an airtight container for up to 2 days or freeze for longer shelf life.
  • Variations: Add garlic powder, herbs, or whole wheat flour for extra flavor.
  • No Yeast Needed: This recipe relies on baking powder for lift, making it quick and foolproof.
