Hamburger Soup Recipe Easy

 A hearty, comforting, and easy-to-make hamburger soup packed with ground beef, vegetables, and savory broth. Perfect for busy weeknights!

Ingredients
  

  • 450g 1 lb Lean ground beef
  • 1 Onion, diced
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 2 Carrots, diced
  • 2 stalks Celery, diced
  • 720ml 3 cups Beef broth
  • 14.5oz (400g) 1 can Diced tomatoes
  • 150g 1 cup Green beans, chopped
  • 5g 1 tsp Dried oregano
  • 5g 1 tsp Dried basil
  • 2.5g ½ tsp Salt 
  • 1g ¼ tsp Black pepper
  • 100g 1 cup Elbow pasta
  • 30ml 2 tbsp Olive oil

Equipment

  • Large pot
  • wooden spoon

Method
 

  1. Brown the Beef: Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned (5-6 minutes). Drain excess fat.
  2. Sauté Veggies: Add onions, garlic, carrots, and celery. Sauté for 3-4 minutes until softened.
  3. Add Liquids & Seasonings: Pour in beef broth and diced tomatoes. Stir in oregano, basil, salt, and pepper.
  4. Simmer: Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low. Cover and simmer for 15 minutes.
  5. Add Pasta & Green Beans: Stir in pasta and green beans. Cook for another 10 minutes until pasta is tender.
  6. Adjust Seasoning: Taste and add more salt/pepper if needed.
  7. Serve: Ladle into bowls and enjoy hot!

Notes

  • Storage: Refrigerate for up to 3 days or freeze for 2 months.
  • Substitutions: Use ground turkey for a lighter version or add potatoes for extra heartiness.
  • Optional Toppings: Sprinkle with grated Parmesan or fresh parsley.
