If using homemade dough, let it rest at room temperature for 30 minutes.

In a bowl, mix crushed tomatoes, minced garlic, salt, pepper, and oregano.
Roll or stretch the dough into a 12-inch (30cm) circle on a floured surface.
Transfer to parchment paper (for easy handling).
Spread tomato sauce evenly over the dough.
Arrange mozzarella slices on top.
Drizzle with olive oil.
Slide the pizza (with parchment) onto the preheated stone/sheet.
Bake for 10-12 minutes until crust is golden and cheese melts.
Remove from oven, top with fresh basil leaves.
