Ingredients

  • (10 oz) pkg 1 Morningstar Farms Chicken Strips
  • (60 mL) ¼ cup Hot sauce (like Frank’s RedHot)
  • (30 g) 2 tbsp Vegan butter (melted)
  • (5 mL) 1 tsp Garlic powder
  • (2.5 mL) ½ tsp Onion powder
  • (2.5 mL) ½ tsp Smoked paprika
  • (2.5 mL) ½ tsp Salt
  • (1.25 mL) ¼ tsp Black pepper
  • (15 mL) 1 tbsp Maple syrup or agave (optional, for sweetness)
  • (30 mL) 2 tbsp Vegan ranch or blue cheese dressing (for serving)
  • 1 stalk Celery (sliced, for serving)

Equipment

  • Baking sheet
  • Mixing bowl
  • Pastry brush

Method

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Bake Chicken Strips: Arrange the Morningstar Chicken Strips in a single layer on the baking sheet. Bake for 10 minutes, flipping halfway, until crispy.
  3. Make Buffalo Sauce: In a bowl, whisk together hot sauce, melted vegan butter, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, pepper, and maple syrup (if using).
  4. Coat Strips: Remove the baked strips from the oven and brush generously with the buffalo sauce. Return to the oven for 3-5 minutes to let the sauce set.
  5. Serve: Serve hot with vegan ranch or blue cheese dressing and celery sticks on the side.

Notes

  • Spice Level: Adjust hot sauce to taste—mild or extra spicy!
  • Air Fryer Option: Cook at 375°F (190°C) for 8-10 minutes, shaking halfway.
  • Meal Prep: These strips reheat well in the oven or air fryer for a quick snack.
