Scampi Sauce Recipe

A rich, garlicky, buttery scampi sauce that’s perfect for shrimp, pasta, or seafood dishes. This quick and easy sauce is bursting with flavor and ready in minutes!

Ingredients
  

  • 4 tbsp Unsalted butter
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • 4 clove Garlic (minced)
  • ½ cup Dry white wine (or chicken broth)
  • 1 tsp Lemon juice
  • ½ tsp Lemon zest
  • ¼ tbsp Red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 tbsp Fresh parsley (chopped)
  • to taste Salt & black pepper

Equipment

  • Medium saucepan or skillet
  • wooden spoon
  • Measuring spoons/cups
  • Zester or grater (for lemon zest)

Method
 

  1. Sauté Garlic: In a medium saucepan or skillet, heat butter and olive oil over medium heat. Once the butter melts, add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds–1 minute until fragrant (do not let it brown).
  2. Deglaze with Wine: Pour in white wine (or broth) and let it simmer for 2–3 minutes until slightly reduced.
  3. Add Lemon & Seasoning: Stir in lemon juice, lemon zest, red pepper flakes (if using), salt, and black pepper. Simmer for another 1–2 minutes.
  4. Finish with Herbs: Remove from heat and stir in chopped parsley.
  5. Serve: Toss with cooked shrimp, pasta, or seafood and enjoy!

Notes

  • For extra richness, add 1 tbsp of heavy cream at the end.
  • No wine? Substitute with chicken or vegetable broth.
  • Storage: Keep in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat gently.
  • Best served with: Linguine, grilled shrimp, or crusty bread for dipping.
